This is so good, I can't believe this many artists showed up for this collab. The tower was such a great idea and there are so many amazing entries. A few of my favs were by @Hypervolt @Pepperly and @Derp-Cat

To think it all started with an abandoned WIP T_T

Hypervolt responds:

Thanks for the comment, this was a really fun project to take part in :)

pepperly responds:

Oh, thank you for the special mention! (●ˇ∀ˇ●)

This is a really cool idea, have some fives.

Dude. Broooo.

Pretty fun. Kept moving the mouse out of bounds and losing control of the ship. Final boss difficulty felt fine.

My only complaint is that I accidentally hit spacebar.... lol

Loved this game. The only thing I wish was different is having some kind of passive visual indication that a unit is affected by another unit's buff, i.e. when placing the crow or hero.

Rarykos responds:

Mhm you're absolutely right, I need to work on that. The full game should be more clear. Thank you for playing!

Beautifully done all. The music is great too!

Someone please tell me why I played this game for 6 hours into the night and came up with an infinite Jerk deck.

Edit: okay, after finally beating the game, I thought I'd come back and leave a real review.

Review: this game was really charming. I love a good idle game anyway, and it broke the mold in a lot of ways, but it was also really reminiscent of mid to late 90s freeware, stuff you'd find on Tucows or Cnet. That's what really hooked me on it. Difficulty felt perfect and the storyline was entertaining. Ya'll actually got me feeling feels for a pixel robot. The variety of activities within the game kept it interesting, and I never felt like it was dragging on. Excellent!

The game ultimately is a skeleton, but as a phaser jam submission it's a really nice and polished skeleton. My interest fell off quickly, but I saw you say elsewhere that you're looking to expand it, so understandable.

Are the assets free/purchased? I recognized quite a few of the assets, particularly from Dungeon Cards.

dlodz responds:

Thank you @Zhon for your review.
The game is still a skeleton and need many improvements. I am working on it :) Community feedbacks help me a lot to take the right direction.

You are right, Dungeon Cards use the same assets and they are free! https://0x72.itch.io/dungeontileset-ii

Never give up. Never surrender.
