Freehand or referenced? Good shit man, reminds me of a project I did in college. I agree with the other reviews. Cleaned up a bit and some more attention given to shadow placement, and this could be really strong.

The colors for this character are great. Your linework is nice and clean too. You vary line weight a bit in the hair - I think you could do that some more to achieve depth better, specifically in the hair.

If your friend's half of the art trade is on NG you should link it in the description, it's always cool to see both sides!

Fun concept - are these characters from your own campaign? (I see D&D in the tags)
I like the face-focused lighting, I think it would really sell the whole thing if it were a little harsher (i.e. harder gradients and darker shadows).

I love this. The character design is great, and the perspective is fun. It feels like an intro slate for a character in a Playstation game.

This is really cute. It looks like a linoleum print. I feel like the saturation of the red throws me off a little.

thank u! i liked adding textures like that. had a bit of issue with balancing that, i went with a saturated red because desaturating it made the whole thing a bit duller imo haha
