I liked the simplicity and the graphics. It took me a minute to figure out where the tower's health was.

This game is a nice simple exercise - I like it. I think as a next step, some trickier combat puzzles and advanced AI would push it further.

PeterMX responds:

Thanks for sharing your thoughts! I'll probably add more levels after I add some balance features.

Great game, really cute graphics, and love pairing the cactus with a balloon. My only wish is for some more difficulty. I see "nonviolent" in your tags - following for more of that.

Diemorth responds:

Wow, thank you so much, I'm really grateful for your words, I'm really getting motivated to create more content for the game and I usually create nonviolent games so be sure there will be other projects like that! :D

I won and didn't get to see what the last recipe was. Sadness. Wish you could go back to dig some more after you win. Nice game though.

Super rad! This is a really cool collab. My criticisms - only two:

1. Since the info panels take up so much of the screen, I really would have loved for this to extend further, maybe even have a full screen option, and have the info panel show up next to the art.

2. Some of the hitboxes need some work. Check out Quote, Skullkid, Spyro, Shovel Knight, and Servebot to see what I mean.

Mabelma responds:

Thanks so much for the feedback bro! There’s a couple of things I’d like to fix so maybe in a couple of months I’ll go back and revisit. But for now I’mma take the knowledge I got from this and my other projects and start production on a game 😍😍😍 I’ll probably send you some stuff once it gets going.

Finally, a good game.

Pretty rad little game, feels a lot like NES Adventure but souped up. I would really like something like a text readout that tells you what just happened, what items you just used, etc., instead of the text disappearing right away. For example, what did I use to kill all those bosses? I don't actually know. A minor detail, but would be nice.

I also agree with @Lukewasthefish about having a stretchy camera - perhaps with the option to turn it on/off for those who want more old school motion.

I was modestly amused. Had to cheat to pass the last challenge. Thanks for the gem.

Fro responds:

Woo

This game is super rad man, really loved it. Thanks for a wonderful 15 minutes.

Neat little game. I'll admit I had to edge/rmb cheat a little to get passed a few of the levels (mostly the ones with the triangles - felt prohibitively difficult). Thanks for the game.

Never give up. Never surrender.
