Fan of the style, not really a fan of the execution. I think you could have pushed this a lot further - everything is very predictable as it is. Granted I only played through the first set of mutations, but from reading the shop descriptions and the trend the game was following, I lost interest.

Things I look for in these types of games (which this one lacks):
- Impact: I want to feel like my actions seriously affect the enemies and/or environment.
- Tradeoffs in upgrades: I want to choose to specialize or generalize, not be forced to generalize.
- Variety: I want drastically different enemies and weapons, upgrades, etc. that significantly change how the game is actually played (why don't my rockets explode?).

1 star for UI - looks really nice
1 star for having a smoothly functional game
1 star for execution

I'm a sucker for a good idle game. This game is nothing really new in the idle genre, but I love Berzerk and pretty much play everything you guys put out so... lol

1 star for aesthetic and presentation
1 star for interesting monetary scheme & newgrounds platform tie-in
1 star for polished functioning idle game
-2 stars - wish there were more unique elements

I play and rate this game every day, as I'm sure many others do, so hopefully some new features will come this way soon... :)

Good stuff, can't wait to see your console endeavors.

I did enjoy this, but a few thoughts....
- Trading is OP. Once you unlock the trading post you can pretty much sit there for 10 mins and trade up all the money you need to finish the game. Just buy wood/food when it's at 10 and sell when it's at 40/30.
- Combat is unrewarding. Figuring out the "stops" just costs troops, no real strategy to it.
- Difference in troops is deceiving. You think there would be a point to buying several different units, but I beat all bosses with just buying out the gunner.
- Plantation is OP. There is no reason to buy any other construction upgrade. You get megabux clicking for the plantation and selling the food - even more than if you go for stone.

Overall this game could use a lot of balancing to be truly fun, but it was nonetheless amusing and had adorable graphics. 7/10.

10/5 would play again. In fact, I think I will. Right now. Excellent work!

I wholeheartedly regret dropping out of this collab, especially seeing it now in its completion.

I'll regret it even more when it finally frickin loads!

*taps foot*

Great job everyone, especially @Bit - glad to see it all put together.

Fun, like any idle/clicker, but... I think the tiers could use a little reworking. The first item quickly becomes obsolete - putting any money into it is completely pointless.

Here's my feedback.

I get it's a jam with a time limit, so good job pumping something out - be proud of your accomplishment!

With that said, a few ways you can improve it to take it to the next level:

- Bugs. You know about them, I won't repeat them - just fix 'em.
- Make the slime bounce when he lands, perhaps even add a small animation before he jumps like he's squishing to the ground. Slimes are squishy!
- Lighten the graphics for your slime and enemies. The scenery and UI is so bright and shiny, but the characters are super dark.
- Add some effects, i.e. if you hit an enemy don't just end the game like that. Have the slime get knocked back, blink red a few times very quickly, and fade away like it would in an adventure game.
- Add more to do. You need some variety in a game like this; maybe powerups, ability to eat certain enemies to grow, transform into different types of slimes, etc.

Anyway, that's all I have time for, just a few ideas. Good luck and hope to see you improve this game some more!

RyuuseiGames responds:

Thank you!

Smashing idea. Love where it's going. Keep up the awesome.

LunaWolfStudios responds:

Thanks! We appreciate it and will be sure to keep up the awesome :D

Enjoyed it, any plans to have save exports? I'd like to play on my laptop and desktop for home/away.

Possible bug: sometimes I randomly stop and lose my speed, as if I've hit something, but there was nothing there. Happens mid air and on the ground. Also to that end, I think you should make it impossible for bats to spawn too high - can't even see them on the backdrop at the top, so it's not really fair to bump into them up there. Or maybe invert their color when they go too high? I dunno. Anyway, decent game, hope you continue to update it.

Never give up. Never surrender.
